SLAND 92 RADIO OFFICIAL RADIO OF 32nd ST MAARTEN HEINEKEN REGATTA
ST. MAARTEN, DUTCH WEST INDIES – February 23, 2012 – Organizers of the 32nd St.Maarten Heineken Regatta are pleased to announce naming Island 92 Radio as the “Official Radio Station of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta”. Daily updates have already begun and Island 92 will provide full coverage of the regatta on March 1st through the 4th including the final awards ceremony for the winners and the big concert. Additionally, listeners around the world will be able to keep posted on what’s happening by listening live on www.island92.com.

Island 92 will continue to bring you the best Regatta coverage and updates, including: registration times, practice days, bridge openings, team meetings, race start times, weather changes, pre-parties, Heineken concert events, post-parties and even where to get late breakfast the morning after, stated Soc (Jeffrey Sochrin), of Island 92 Radio.
Soc continued, “This is a big year for the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, in addition to attracting the finest yachtsmen and women from around the globe, Heineken is pulling out all the stops with four big parties. Competitors and guests will have a real treat, getting to see the legendary SOCA artist Terry Seales teamed up with St. Maarten’s own Shadow Man, young and funky NexCyx from Barbados, the Youth Wave Band, Tessanne Chin and Tami Chynn, the 1 White Chic Band, the Mighty Dow and finally, contemporary Reggae great Beres Hammond. The Heineken Regatta truly is “Serious Fun” and Island 92 is your cruise director, so tune in, turn on and get ready to party!”

Island 92 will be working with the Regatta Organization to bring future regatta coverage and St. Maarten Yacht Club updates to listeners throughout the year.
ABOUT THE 2012 ST. MAARTEN HEINEKEN REGATTA
The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta takes place march 1 to 4 2012 and will host an array of sailing yachts from over 32 different countries. Participants and visitors alike will be treated to world class sailing in some of the best racing conditions in the world. At the end of every day’s fleet racing, there are nightly concerts that are free to the public. Attendees will be able to enjoy ice cold Heinekens while listening to tunes from some of the regions hottest bands. Sunday evening will be the final night of entertainment and after the prize giving ceremony the final headliner will perform. Beres Hammond will join the long list of headliners to grace the regatta stage and will give the participants a final night to remember.
