The True Blues Show with Brian Elliott is featured on Island 92 radio Sunday and Thursday nights from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Each installment showcases the rich history of blues music with artists you know and some you may not. The blues is one of the world's greatest musical treasures. A roots music form that evolved out of African-American work songs, field hollers, spirituals, and country string ballads more than a century ago, the blues is the foundation of virtually every major American music form born in the 20th century, including jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and hip hop. As profound as the blues has been to the foundation of popular music, it is often overlooked or briefly forgotten. The True Blues Show with Brian Elliott keeps the Blues alive for fans everywhere and looks to introduce this amazing music to new listeners the world over.

Brian Elliott began collecting Blues records in 1971 and has accumulated an extensive library covering the 88 year history of the musical genre. Elliott produces syndicated Blues radio programs from his home studio, "The Mary Mac studio" in Denver Colorado. Elliott has been producing Blues radio programs for 20 years and has established a personal rapport and friendship with a multitude of Blues musicians over the years having interviewed them as well as introduced them at festivals and night clubs appearances. Many of the touring musicians stop by The Mary Mac studio for in house interviews and acoustic performances for broadcast on Brian's programs. Elliott is an historian on Blues Music, Host/Producer of Blues radio programs and serves as the President of The Colorado Blues Society.
